Metallized filmis a composite flexible packaging material that is with special technology of forming the plastic film coated with a thin layer of aluminum. One of the most common processing methods is vacuum aluminum method which is in high vacuum condition to melt aluminum evaporation at high temperature so that plastic film surface will be equipped with metallic luster. It has the characteristics of plastic film, but also has the characteristics of metals, so it becomes an inexpensive, beautiful and practical packaging material with an excellent performance.

At present, the most widely used aluminum films are polyester aluminized(VMPET) and CPP aluminized(VMCPP).The function of aluminum films is shading and anti-ultraviolet radiation, it extends the shelf life of the contents, but also improves the brightness of the film, and it replaces the aluminum foil to some extent. This product is inexpensive and beautiful, it also has a good barrier propertyTherefore, the aluminum films are widely used in composite packaging, currently it is used in biscuits and other dry, puffed food packaging as well as some pharmaceuticals, cosmetics packaging.
