Film on film wrap system saves time and boosts silage quality

With the aim to improve silage quality and reduce feeding time, we has developed a film on film wrapping system for the round baler/wrapper combination.

Traditionally, twine or net is applied to the bale in the chamber to hold the bale together, then plastic is applied to seal the bale which allows fermentation to take place.

However, we has now developed a system which applies plastic to the barrel of the bale in the chamber, essentially taking the place of net, which holds the bale together as it transfers from the chamber to the wrapper. This is known as film on film.

Products Feature:

Plastic is stretched by about 20 per cent which is higher than net wrap or twine,and as a result the material is kept tighter which produces a better bale shape. The stretched plastic also expels more air than net or twine.
